I studied Jazz theory and piano with Joe Ercole from 1981 – 1984. In 1984 I moved to Boston where I attended Berklee College Of Music and graduated with honors in 1988. Joe was not only my inspiration to attend Berklee, he provided me with such a solid background in improvisation, arranging, theory, and ear training that I tested out of close to 30 credits during my placement exam upon entering school.

While in Boston I studied with world renowned musicians including Dean Earl, Charlie Banacos, and Herb Pomeroy just to name a few. But if had to name one  teacher who influenced my career the most I would have to say it was Joe Ercole.

All you need to study with Joe is a book of blank manuscript paper and the desire and drive to learn music. Joe will find where you are as a musician and fill the pages with material to take you to the next level and beyond.

Today I own and operate my own music school and recording studio that I founded in 1993. The Music Workshop in Baltimore has over 300 students and a staff of 15 teachers.

For over 20 years I have been blessed with the opportunity to support my family as a full time musician, and Joe Ercole gave me the background and confidence to obtain that success.
